We've created a new Haus that embodies all our values

Golden Goose has a new home. We inaugurated our Haus in Marghera, near Venice, where our adventure began. What better choice to tell our evolution and encapsulate all our values?

The building, which will officially open in 2025, is designed to be a platform where dreams, creativity, and craftsmanship unite, creating a unique and special place.

Discover the Haus of Marghera: The outdoor spaces

The piazza is where people meet, share their dreams, and exchange experiences and adventures. Water, a recurring element in several Golden Goose locations, is also present in this square.

The water is also a tribute to Venice: the Italian sculptor Fabio Viale, specialized in marble works, has created Venetian briccole (structures made of wooden poles, tied together and placed in water to indicate low tide in the lagoon and guide boats) in marble, which appear to be made of wood.

Celebrating our craftsmanship in the Manovia

Entering the Haus, we find the place that celebrates the art of "knowing how to make with hands": the craftsmanship and Made in Italy that has always distinguished Golden Goose.

In the Manovia, it will be possible to see the entire production phase: from the machinery used to the artisans' work. Here, the design of shapes will be created, innovation will happen, and prototypes for new footwear will be made. It's also where the brand's limited editions will be created and produced, where customizations for clients will be made, and where worn-out sneakers will be repaired. It is in the Manovia of Marghera where artisans will take care of the memories of Golden Goose lovers who request the service through the online platform, extending the life of footwear (not just Golden Goose but any brand), thus promoting circular economy.

In this part of the building, there is also an installation of about 4,500 pairs of sneakers hanging from the ceiling. It is a tribute to the skate culture of Los Angeles and, above all, to the brand's origins: the first Golden Goose shoes were hung outside to yellow naturally, creating the iconic lived-in effect.

Travel inspires us and projects us into the future: the Academy

At the entrance of the Haus, there is a work which reminds of Japan, a country that has always inspired Golden Goose's work. From here, you enter the Academy, the place where we want to train and inspire our future dream makers. Training courses and workshops will be held here all year long for our artisans, shoemakers, and tailors. We want to bring inspiration and innovation to new generations.

Playground is our cultural hub

Another important space within the Haus of Marghera is Playground, a flexible area that can adapt to any type of event (it is structured with chairs that can be pulled down from the wall when needed). This space will host screenings, cultural events, and presentations of collaborations between artists and Golden Goose.

This space is called Playground because it represents a basketball court, another historical inspiration of Golden Goose. The iconic brand sneakers are drawn on the chairs.

Sustainability also extends to the bar

Everything in Golden, including the bar, is inspired by our values: inside the refreshment area, there is a hydroponic coffee plant greenhouse, symbolizing our focus on sustainability.

Get ready for a unique experience in the immersive tunnel

Beyond the bar, you approach the heart of the entire structure. To get there, however, you need to go through the immersive tunnel, where you can experience something unique and unforgettable. At the entrance of the tunnel, you can take photos with iPads and then immerse yourself in a world of echoes and visual experiences.

In the first tunnel, you can experience an acoustic representation of the sounds of Venice and Marghera, while in the second tunnel, the experience becomes visual. Moving further, you will find a room where interviews with our dreamers, sharing their vision of our values, will be shown.

The Hangar and the Archive Library are the heart of the Haus

Hangar and Archive/Library: these are the places where it all began. It was in the Hangar that the two founders of Golden Goose, Alessandro and Francesca, created their company. The spaces, which were then an old foundry, have remained identical since then: a welcoming work environment that reminded them of the comfort of their home was created here.

But the beating heart of the Haus is the Archive/Library: this is where the first offices in Golden Goose's history were actually created. These spaces are accessed through a semi-lowered shutter because they are places to be discovered. In the Archive/Library there is our archive, containing all the products and collections created since the beginning of our story: among the first models created are a denim skirt and Texan-inspired boots. But accessories, ready-to-wear collections (not ordered chronologically but to create timeless looks), and all kinds of footwear are also present.

Regarding sneakers, the brand's iconic product, all models and shapes are present, from the very first produced in 2007 to the latest collection released, the G43 sneaker.

The sneakers are organized into sections: there is the archive one, which collects the first produced sneakers, the Super Star and the Francy. Then there is an area that collects all the models inspired by the skate world (including the MidStar, the Slide, the BallStar, and the Hanami), another designed for running shoes, and others that collect sneakers inspired by basketball, California, New York, and Venice.

In the archive it also includes the first boxes of Golden Goose sneakers and some gems not visible elsewhere. There is a model of Journey on which one of the founders, Alessandro, wrote the places or people he met. There are never-realized prototypes, areas dedicated to co-creation and limited editions.

There are also the Hanami, the shoes produced for the daughter of one of the founders, named after her: from these sneakers, the children's collection was born, originally called Ha (now it is Kids Collection). You can also see the 2.12 sneakers, the birth date of Giovanni, another child of the founders.
